Janet Jiang

About Me

I am an incoming CSE PhD student at the University of Washington, advised by Prof. Amy Ko.
My research interests are in Computing Education. During my graduate studies, I hope to design culturally-responsive pedagogy, learning technologies, and curriculum that are sustainable in larger courses.

I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Duke University with my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. At Duke, I was advised by Prof. Kristin Stephens-Martinez. I received highest distinction for my honors thesis, which evaluated the relationships between student modality, discussion, and learning from peer instruction in a hybrid computing course.
